Restored & Renewed – Part 1: We Need a Saviour
In looking at human need, God saw what we really needed. He did not send us an educator because we are ignorant. He did not send us a politician because we are victims of the system. He did not send us a psychologist because we are victims of our upbringing. He did not send us a sociologist because we confused about our identity. He did not send us a banker because we are poor. God sees what our real need is. Our real problem is the spiritual state of our heart. God sent us a Saviour because of our great sin, and if we are honest, we must admit that this really is our problem. We see it in our estrangement from God and from others. Our hearts are prone to wander away from our God and prone to radical self-centredness.
