Jesus the Prince of Peace: Part 2 – Christ Brings Peace to our Hearts
Before we may enjoy the rule of Christ in this world, we must enjoy His rule in our hearts. We cannot have one without the other. God speaks through Isaiah the prophet and invites mankind to accept His promised Son. Who is His Son? you may ask. Its Jesus Christ. Isaiah tells us of His birth, “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” So on that night that Jesus is born, the Angel Armies appear to the Shepherds watching their flocks of sheep by night. And they sing a song that reflects Isaiah’s prophecy: “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” God is pleased with all who put their faith in the boy child, Jesus Christ.
