Give Thanks: Part 3- The Attitude of Gratitude
PASTOR ANDREW SAPOZHNYKOV   -

In this third and final week of Thanksgiving, we are focusing on verses four and five of Psalm 100, The Psalm of Thanksgiving.  Psalm 100 goes like this: Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Living in this crazy world is not easy. Jesus prayed for us when He was still in this world. In John 17 verses fifteen to seventeen, Jesus prays, “I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do.  Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.  Those who know the Truth that comes to us through Jesus Christ are truly free; free of the burden of sin and free of the cares of this life.” The Christian is marked by an attitude of gratitude. The Christian goes through life celebrating and giving thanks to the One who is good, all the time!
