ACTS: Part 59 – God Exalts Paul for the Gospel
  -

Sometimes God exalts a man to accomplish His purpose. Joshua 4:14 says, On that day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel, and they stood in awe of him just as they had stood in awe of Moses, all the days of his life. God does this for Paul. On the journey to Rome, the weather grew dangerous. “Men,” Paul said, “I believe there is trouble ahead if we go on—shipwreck, loss of cargo, and danger to our lives as well.” But the officer in charge of the prisoners listened more to the ship’s captain and the owner than to Paul. The storm was horrific.  No one had eaten for a long time. Finally, Paul called the crew together and said, “Men, you should have listened to me in the first place and not left Crete. You would have avoided all this damage and loss. Paul is now the recognized authority on the ship. What follows next is astonishing.
