ACTS: Part 47 – Beaten and Arrested for God
  -

When Paul and his companions arrived, the brothers and sisters in Jerusalem welcomed us warmly. The next day Paul went with us to meet with James, and all the elders of the Jerusalem church were present. After greeting them, Paul gave a detailed account of the things God had accomplished among the Gentiles through his ministry. The Elders of the Church warned Paul that the Jewish leaders were convinced that Paul was preaching against the Law of Moses and so they recommended acts of appeasement, hoping that this might convince people otherwise. But a riot broke out and Paul was beaten then arrested. And the crowd followed behind, shouting, “Kill him, kill him!” But then Paul asks permission of the soldiers to preach to the people.
