Acts: Part 32 – Circumstances Change in God’s Work
Paul and Silas landed in Philippi, the first European city to have converts. All seems to be going well for Paul and Silas, but Satan is not standing idly by. Satan incites a mob and the next thing they know, the Preachers of the Gospel are arrested, stripped and beaten publicly with rods, then thrown into prison. Who wouldn’t be tempted to despair in these circumstances? But rather than grumble, the preachers began to pray and sing songs of praise and God did extraordinary things. Satan was subdued and God’s will and kingdom were further advanced.
