Acts: Part 21 – The Maturing Church Gives
PASTOR ALAN DUNCALFE   -

We see the Church maturing by Acts chapter 11. Several major things happen. The Church that was born in Jerusalem is now spreading to the Gentiles. When famine is predicted, Luke tells us, the believers in Antioch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could. This they did, entrusting their gifts to Barnabas and Saul to take to the elders of the church in Jerusalem. Paul and Barnabas spend a year teaching the believers in Antioch, helping them get a solid grip on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians.
